Description
When pressure is applied, unbraided hoses tend to elongate axially. To counter this, an external layer of stainless steel (SS) wire braid is added. This braided layer not only restrains axial elongation but also enhances the hose assembly’s pressure compatibility.
For high-pressure applications, two or even three layers of braiding may be used. The wire braid is highly flexible and designed to follow the natural movement of the hose without compromising its integrity.
The braiding is typically manufactured using SS 304 wire. However, we also offer braids made from SS 316 and SS 321 upon request. Additionally, we can supply wire braids in various configurations tailored to meet specific customer requirements.
